Gold Lyre Tarot is a modern, photographic take on classical tarot, created by best friends Lacy Martin and Christine Scanlon and published by Microcosm. It started as a passion project between them in 2018, became a Kickstarter community love letter in 2021, and is now a full 78-card deck stewarded by a real indie publisher.

The deck honors the structure of the traditional Smith-Rider-Waite, but the art is something else. Real-life photographs of real people, sleek minimalist layouts, and gold accents that breathe new life into archetypes that have lived for centuries. The faces in these cards reflect the world we actually live in. Diverse, multiplicitous, real.
