If last week felt like a wave, this week is the tide pulling back. The Scorpio Full Moon on May 1st cracked something open. Now the sky is asking you to do something with what surfaced.
The energy of the week
The Sun and Mercury are both moving through Taurus, which means we're being asked to slow down, get embodied, and turn insight into action. Not big moves. Real ones. The kind that take consistency, not adrenaline.
The headline event is Pluto stationing retrograde in Aquarius on May 6th, the start of a five-month invitation to reassess how you use your power. Where are you giving it away? Where are you afraid to claim it? Pluto retrograde isn't punishment. It's a reckoning that gets quieter, not louder, the longer you avoid it.
On May 4th, Mars in Aries squared Jupiter in Cancer, which is drive meeting emotion at full volume. You may have felt that one as a pressure cooker. By midweek, Mercury in Taurus connects with Pluto, and conversations may feel more charged than they should. Stay in your body. Don't rush a response just to relieve the discomfort. The discomfort is the message.
This is a do less, mean more kind of week.
Your week ahead by sign
Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 19) You came in hot. The Mars-Jupiter square on the 4th lit your fuse, and now the sky wants you to channel that fire, not torch the room with it. There's a project or a conversation you've been holding back on, and this is the week to push. Just push slowly. Restraint isn't the opposite of your power right now. It's the form of it.
Taurus (Apr 20 – May 20) It's your season, and the sky is mirroring you back to yourself with both the Sun and Mercury parked in your sign. The assignment is to stop apologizing for needing what you need. Comfort. Slowness. Beauty. The right pillow. Whatever it is, take it without flinching. That's not laziness, it's your medicine, and it's the most spiritual thing you'll do this month.
Gemini (May 21 – Jun 20) Mercury moved into Taurus and your usual mental speed dial dropped a few notches. Don't fight that. This is your behind-the-scenes prep period before your solar return next month. The quiet you're sitting in right now is doing real work. Whatever you're noticing in it (a recurring thought, a person who keeps coming to mind, a feeling you can't name yet), file it. You'll need it in June.
Cancer (Jun 21 – Jul 22) Jupiter is still in your sign, and it's making everything bigger. Including your feelings. The Mars-Jupiter square earlier this week may have stirred old water. You don't have to drain the pool. You also don't have to drown in it. Look around. A friend group, a community, a chosen family is rearranging itself in your favor right now. Let them in this week, even when it feels easier to retreat.
Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 22) Pluto retrograde lands in your seventh house, the house of partnerships, and it's asking you a question that isn't flattering: who in your life is actually reflecting your light back at you, and who's been dimming it on a setting so low you stopped noticing? You don't have to do anything with the answer this week. Awareness is the whole assignment. The doing is for later.
Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Earth-sign energy is your home turf, and this week is dense with it. Mercury, your ruler, is in Taurus, which means your thinking and your nervous system are unusually steady. Use the calm. There's a decision you've been overcomplicating for weeks now. The answer was always the simple one. You already know what it is, you just kept asking the question hoping for a more interesting reply.
Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22) Pluto retrograde stirs the partnership houses, and you, of all signs, feel relational shifts in the body before the brain catches up. This week you may notice a quiet pull to renegotiate something. How you spend your time. What you say yes to. Who gets your best hours and who's been getting them by default. The pull is information. It doesn't need a big conversation yet. It just needs to be listened to.
Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21) The Full Moon was in your sign a week ago. You're not climaxing now, you're integrating. Big difference. Pluto, your ruler, going retrograde gives you a five-month invitation to go deeper into a transformation you've already started. There's nothing performative about this part. Don't post about it. Don't even talk about it much. Just live it. The interior is where the real movement is happening this month.
Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21) Mars in fellow fire sign Aries is lighting up your creative house, and you're feeling the pull to ship something, share something, start something. Do it. The pull is real and the timing is right. Just make sure you can answer one question first: why this, and why now? If you can answer it without flinching, go. If you can't, the launch will burn fast and you'll be left wondering why you couldn't sustain the spark.
Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Pluto spent over a decade reshaping your sign, and even though it's officially moved on, retrogrades like this one can stir old shedding. You may catch yourself revisiting a version of you that you thought you were done with. You are done with her. What's surfacing isn't a relapse. It's the part where you say goodbye properly, the part of letting go that nobody warns you about because it doesn't look like growth.
Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18) Pluto stationing retrograde in your sign is the headline of your year, and this week it sharpens. The reckoning is interior. You're rebuilding yourself from the inside out, on a schedule no one else can see and on a timeline no one else gets a vote on. People in your life may not understand why you've gone quieter, why you're saying no more, why you've stopped explaining yourself. You don't owe them the translation right now. The visible part of this transformation comes later. You're in the foundation phase. Don't rush it.
Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20) You're often dreamy, and this week the earth is calling you down. Mercury and the Sun in Taurus invite you to plant something. A morning routine. A ritual. A small commitment to something with actual edges. Spreadsheets are not unspiritual. Schedules are not unspiritual. You won't lose your magic by getting practical this week, you'll protect it. The mystic who can also pay her bills on time is the most powerful kind.
A grounding practice for the week
Before you act on anything this week (a text, a decision, a commitment), pause and ask your body one question:
Does this feel like reaching, or does this feel like resting into?
Reaching is anxiety. Resting into is clarity. Taurus season rewards the second one. Pluto retrograde will eventually expose the first.
You don't have to figure it all out this week. You just have to slow down enough to feel which is which.
