Your Weekly Cosmic Forecast: May 19-25, 2026

If last week was about planting one seed under the Taurus New Moon, this week is about staying with it long enough for it to actually take. The air is about to pick up. The thing you just planted is going to need you to not abandon it the second something more interesting walks through the door.

The energy of the week

The Sun finishes its run through Taurus on May 20 and moves into Gemini, opening Gemini season and shifting the whole feel of the month from earth element to air. We've had four solid weeks of body, slowness, repetition. Now the assignment shifts. Curiosity comes back. Conversations start moving. The mind comes back online after a season of asking it to quiet down.

Mercury, the planet that rules Gemini, has already been there since May 17, so the communication channels have been opening for a few days now. When Mercury is in its home sign, the words land. You can say the thing you've been turning over for weeks. People can finally hear you. Use this window. It's open until June 1.

The headline event is less about a single transit and more about the elemental handoff that completes this week. Mars moved into Taurus on May 18, joining the earth element just as the Sun is leaving it. So as your mind starts spinning with new ideas and new conversations, your actions are getting slower, more deliberate, more rooted. That's the design, not an accident. Mars in Taurus is going to spend the next six weeks tending whatever you planted at the New Moon, even when your Gemini season brain is convinced something shinier is out there. The split is the whole point. Air for the mind. Earth for the doing.

Venus also moved into Cancer on May 18, softening the relational tone of the week toward the nurturing, home-oriented end of the spectrum. The connections that feel most alive right now will be the ones that involve actual care. Cooking for someone. Sitting on the floor with the people who feel safe. Texting your mom. Less performance, more presence.

Pluto is still retrograde in Aquarius, continuing the five-month reassessment of how you use your power. The Full Moon in Sagittarius arrives Sunday May 31, which means anything connected to belief, philosophy, or what you've been running on autopilot is starting to rise to the surface. You won't have to do anything about it this week. Just notice what bubbles up. It's data for the full moon.

This is a stay with what you planted, even as the air picks up kind of week.

Your week ahead by sign

Aries (Mar 21 to Apr 19) Gemini season opens your third house of communication, voice, daily messages, and short conversations. After a month of Taurus asking you to slow your mouth down, the sky is finally giving you back the words. This is the week to send the pitch, post the thing, ask the question, propose what you've been turning over. Mars just moved into Taurus and is now sitting in your second house of money and self worth, which means the brave conversations and the financial ones are connected this week. Speak up. Then check your numbers.

Taurus (Apr 20 to May 20) Your solar season ends on May 20. The Sun moves out of your sign and into your second house of money, value, and what you're worth in the marketplace. After a month of being asked who am I becoming, the question shifts: what is that worth, and what are you charging for it? Don't undercharge. Don't underask. With Mars in your sign through late June, you have the energy to actually do something about the answer.

Gemini (May 21 to Jun 20) Welcome home. The Sun joins Mercury in your sign on May 20, and your personal new year quietly begins. Solar return is the most potent reset of your calendar, and you don't have to perform it. This week is for clearing space, not for launching. Take yourself somewhere alone for an hour, even if alone means a coffee shop. Ask the question for the year. You'll know the question when you stop looking for it.

Cancer (Jun 21 to Jul 22) Venus moved into your sign on May 18 and the Sun moves into your twelfth house on May 20, which is the part of the chart that asks for rest and retreat. This is permission to slow down while everyone else speeds up. Take it. The Moon also comes home to you Thursday and Friday, which is the most tender window of your month. Protect those two days. Don't say yes to anything you don't have to.

Leo (Jul 23 to Aug 22) Gemini season opens your eleventh house of friendships, community, and the wider web you belong to. Someone you've been meaning to reconnect with is going to surface this week. Let them. Don't make it a whole project. Just answer the text. The Moon visits your sign Saturday and Sunday, which is your monthly reminder to do something purely for your own joy, not for the audience.

Virgo (Aug 23 to Sep 22) The Sun moves into Gemini on May 20 and your tenth house of career, public life, and reputation gets louder. The world is paying attention to what you're putting out right now, even if it doesn't feel that way. Be seen on purpose this week instead of by accident. Have your answer ready when someone asks what you're working on. Mercury, your ruler, is in Gemini through June 1, which means your communication is sharper than usual. Use the clarity.

Libra (Sep 23 to Oct 22) Gemini season opens your ninth house, the part of your chart that handles travel, learning, big ideas, and anything that pulls you out of the loop you've been in. If you've been considering a class, a teacher, or a trip, this is the week to look at the calendar instead of just dreaming about it. Venus, your ruler, moved into Cancer on May 18, which means your tenth house of career is also getting softened. The doing gets easier when you let yourself be cared for in the process.

Scorpio (Oct 23 to Nov 21) Gemini season opens your eighth house, which is your home territory. Intimacy, shared resources, the things you don't say at parties. The conversation you've been avoiding about money, sex, or trust gets easier this week, especially Wednesday through Friday. Venus in Cancer is on your side, settling into your ninth house of perspective. Speak softly. Speak clearly. Don't perform the depth. Just be in it.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 to Dec 21) Gemini is your opposite sign, which means the Sun moving into Gemini on May 20 lights up your seventh house of partnership. This is the most relational month of your year. Whoever keeps showing up matters. Whoever keeps not showing up also matters. The Full Moon in your own sign on May 31 is going to ask you to take a stand based on what you observe this week, so don't argue with what you see. Just watch.

Capricorn (Dec 22 to Jan 19) The Sun moves into Gemini and your sixth house of daily work, health, and routine. The cosmos is asking you to try something new in your day. A different walk. A new way of working. A small ritual at the start or end of the day. The Capricorn instinct will be to overhaul the whole system. Don't. Experiment with one thing. Mars in Taurus is now in your fifth house of joy this week, so the experimentation should feel like delight, not discipline.

Aquarius (Jan 20 to Feb 18) Gemini season opens your fifth house of joy, creativity, play, and the things you do for no reason other than that you want to. If you've been all duty and no delight, the universe just handed you a hall pass. Take it. Make something with your hands. Make something that has no purpose. Pluto, your ruler, is still retrograde in your sign, which means the deep interior work continues. The play is part of the rebuilding, not separate from it.

Pisces (Feb 19 to Mar 20) Gemini season opens your fourth house of home, family, and roots. You'll find yourself thinking about a space, physical or emotional, that needs tending. Venus in Cancer is sitting in your fifth house of creativity, so let the tending be beautiful, not just functional. Light the candle. Move the chair. Soften something. The work isn't dramatic this week. It's atmospheric.

A practice for the week

The split this week is the real assignment. Air for the mind. Earth for the doing. Both at once. Most weeks the cosmos asks you to pick one. This week is different.

Each day, before you do anything else, ask yourself two questions in this order.

First: what's the smallest thing I can do for the seed I planted last week?

Then: what's one new question I want to ask today?

The first question keeps you rooted. The second one keeps you growing. If you only answer one, you'll either harden or scatter. Both at once is how Gemini season builds on Taurus season instead of erasing it.

Whatever you planted under the New Moon last Saturday is still in the soil. Mars in Taurus is making sure of it. You don't have to choose between staying grounded and getting curious. You get both. You get to be a person with your feet in the earth and a sky full of questions.

That's the whole practice.
