Last week the Aries full moon lit a match under whatever you'd been carrying quietly. Something asked to be seen, said, or set down. This week, the temperature changes. Libra sun is still here, still asking about balance and other people and the small courtesies that make a life, but on Wednesday Mercury slips into Scorpio and the questions get deeper. By Saturday, Venus goes retrograde in Scorpio. If last week was fire, this week is the low, steady simmer that comes after, and in the weeks ahead we start feeling the tug of relationships we thought we'd already sorted.
The energy of the week
Sun in Libra keeps us in the middle of the seesaw. Fairness, aesthetics, the person across the table, the ways we soften a hard thing so it can be heard. Mercury moves out of Libra and into Scorpio on Wednesday, and conversation stops being about keeping the peace and starts being about what's actually true. Expect questions to get more direct, texts to get less filtered, and your own inner monologue to get honest with itself.
Venus is moving through Scorpio and stations retrograde on Saturday at 8 degrees Scorpio. Venus retrograde in Scorpio is the review of what and who we love, why we love them, and where we've been trading depth for comfort. Old names might come up. Old feelings might come up. Nothing is happening to you. Something is asking to be looked at.
Mars, meanwhile, just entered Leo on Sunday night. Big, warm, expressive Mars in Leo wants you to move on what you actually want, in your own name, out loud. This isn't the moment to shrink yourself for the room.
The back half of the week has some friction, and it has a shape. Mercury, Mars, and Pluto lock into a T-square on Friday, with Mercury squaring both Mars and Pluto in a single day, while Mars trines Neptune, softening the edges of it in the afternoon. Conversations can spike hot, and truths can land harder than we meant them to. Then Saturday brings the trifecta: Venus stations retrograde, Mars opposes Pluto, and a Third Quarter Moon in Cancer at 10 degrees asks us to feel what we usually think our way around. If a hard truth surfaces this weekend, that's the weather, not a punishment. Sunday's Sun-Saturn opposition across Libra and Aries can feel like a heavy overcoat. Rest is a legitimate response.
Retrogrades still moving in the background: Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron in Aries; Uranus in Gemini; and Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto stations direct on October 15, so that deep-water tide is beginning to turn.
This is a truth-telling, threshold-crossing, and slow-down kind of week.
Your week ahead by sign
Aries (March 21-April 19). Libra sun keeps lighting up your seventh house of partnership, and Mercury sliding into Scorpio activates your eighth house of intimacy, shared resources, and the stuff you only say to the people closest to you. Something in a close bond is asking for a more honest conversation this week. With Venus stationing retrograde on Saturday in that same eighth house, an old thread with a partner, ex, or business collaborator may pull for review. Sunday's Sun-Saturn opposition asks you to take a serious look at how you show up in relationship. Not to judge yourself. Just to see clearly.
Taurus (April 20-May 20). Sun in Libra is in your sixth house of health, routine, and the small daily choices that add up to a life. Mercury into Scorpio lights your seventh house of partnership, and this week your conversations with the important people get more layered. Venus, your ruler, stations retrograde in Scorpio on Saturday, so partnership itself is up for review in the weeks ahead. It's not a warning. It's an invitation to look at what you actually want from the people across the table from you.
Gemini (May 21-June 20). Sun in Libra is in your fifth house of creativity, romance, and play, and Mercury into Scorpio brings you into your sixth house of body, work, and daily rhythms. This is a good week to notice which of your daily routines are still serving you and which ones you inherited by accident. With your ruler Mercury moving into Scorpio, its investigative side comes forward, so expect your thinking to get sharper and less patient with fluff. Say the truer sentence.
Cancer (June 21-July 22). Libra sun sits in your fourth house of home, roots, and the people you call family. Mercury into Scorpio lights your fifth house of creativity, romance, and self-expression. Something you've been quietly making, feeling, or hoping wants to come to the surface this week. Venus retrograde in Scorpio starting Saturday may bring back a creative project or a person you loved once. You don't have to decide what it means yet. You can just notice it's there.
Leo (July 23-August 22). With Mars now in your sign, you have a tailwind. Libra sun in your third house of communication and Mercury into Scorpio in your fourth house of home turn the volume up on family conversations and the way you speak to the people you live with. Something at home needs an honest word this week. The Mars-Pluto opposition on Saturday is asking you to use your voice without using it as a weapon. There's a version of speaking clearly that doesn't require anyone to lose.
Virgo (August 23-September 22). Libra sun is in your second house of money, self-worth, and values, and Mercury moves into Scorpio in your third house of communication. Your thinking sharpens this week, and you may find yourself finally saying something you've been rehearsing for weeks. With Venus stationing retrograde on Saturday in that third house, the way you communicate in close relationships is up for review. What are you softening for other people that you no longer need to soften?
Libra (September 23-October 22). Happy solar season. Sun is in your first house of self and identity, and Mercury moves into your second house of money, self-worth, and values on Wednesday. This is a birthday-season reset, and the question of the week is what you value, and whether your money and your time are actually pointed at it. Venus retrograde starts Saturday in your second house, and on October 25 she backs into your own sign, so this becomes a bigger conversation over the next several weeks. Not what you should value. What you actually do.
Scorpio (October 23-November 21). Sun in Libra is in your twelfth house of rest, closure, and the quiet inner room, and Mercury moves into your first house on Wednesday. You're about to feel much more like yourself. With Venus stationing retrograde in your sign on Saturday, you're entering one of your most powerful reviews of the year: who you love, who loves you back, what your relationships have cost you, and what they've given you. She stays in your sign until October 25, then finishes her review in Libra through November 13. This isn't a week to make a huge external decision. It's a week to get honest with yourself, in the quiet, before anything gets said out loud.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21). Libra sun is in your eleventh house of community, friendships, and the wider circle, and Mercury moves into Scorpio in your twelfth house of rest and the unseen. Your inner life gets louder this week. A friendship dynamic might quietly ask for a rethink. Venus retrograde in your twelfth house from Saturday is a whisper-level review, not a headline one. Trust what comes up in dreams and long walks more than what comes up in group chats.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19). Sun in Libra keeps lighting your tenth house of career and public role. Mercury moves into Scorpio in your eleventh house of community and long-term vision on Wednesday, and your networking conversations get more strategic and more real. With Venus stationing retrograde in that eleventh house on Saturday, an old collaborator or community you used to be part of might come back into view. Sunday's Sun-Saturn opposition, with Saturn as your ruler, is your signal to look honestly at whether your work is still pointed at what you actually want.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18). Libra sun sits in your ninth house of expansion, travel, and belief, and Mercury into Scorpio activates your tenth house of career this week. Public conversations, work updates, and how you're seen professionally all get more direct. Venus retrograde in your tenth house starting Saturday opens a review of your work, your reputation, and whether the version of you that shows up in your career still fits, running through October 25 before she backs into your ninth house. Pluto is still slow-walking through your sign, so the bigger transformation continues underneath all of it.
Pisces (February 19-March 20). Sun in Libra is in your eighth house of intimacy, shared resources, and the deep water, and Mercury into Scorpio lights your ninth house of expansion, learning, and belief. You're moving between two of your favorite places this week: the intimate and the expansive. Venus retrograde starting Saturday in your ninth house may bring back an old teacher, book, place, or belief for review. What you thought you knew for sure is up for a second look.
A practice for the week
Three questions for the week. Take them slowly. You don't need to write a paragraph. A sentence is enough.
Tuesday or Wednesday: What am I keeping the peace about that I actually have an opinion on?
Thursday or Friday: If I'm honest, what have I been calling love that's really just familiarity?
Saturday or Sunday: What in my life am I ready to look at without flinching?
And then, sometime over the weekend, when Venus retrograde has officially begun and Mercury is settled into Scorpio and the air feels a little cooler, make yourself a warm drink and sit with someone you love. Not a meeting. Not a text thread. A real, in-person, no-phones cup of something. Talk about what's actually happening in your life. Let them do the same. That's the whole practice.
