Your Weekly Cosmic Forecast: August 18-24, 2026

A rugged Central California coastal cliff at sunrise, a low marine layer half burned off, the Pacific ocean visible through the last of the mist as warm morning sun cuts through the fog and paints a soft beam of light across the water.

Last week the Solar Eclipse in Leo cracked something open. Maybe you felt it as a new courage. Maybe it landed as an ending you didn't schedule. Maybe it just felt like the volume got turned up on whatever was already loud. This week the light shifts. The Sun finishes its Leo tour and steps into Virgo on Saturday, Venus lines up opposite Saturn in the middle of the week, and the Moon is quietly gathering itself toward a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces that lands next Friday. If last week was the fireworks, this week is the walk home in the dark, checking your pockets for what you actually want to keep.

The energy of the week

We open the week with the Sun still in Leo and Mercury right there beside it, so the story you are telling yourself and the way you are telling it are both still very much on brand for the season, which is to say bright, dramatic, a little theatrical, and secretly asking to be seen. On Wednesday the First Quarter Moon in Scorpio arrives at 27 degrees, and that Moon does what a Scorpio Moon always does, which is turn the lights low and ask you what you actually mean. Not what you said in the meeting. What you meant.

Midweek is where the real texture is. Venus in Libra sits opposite Saturn in Aries from Wednesday through Sunday, and this is the kind of aspect that shows up in the form of a hard conversation, a relationship checkpoint, a moment where the thing you have been being polite about wants a real answer. Saturn is not cruel, Saturn is just honest. Venus in Libra loves harmony, and Saturn is the friend who says, harmony is not the same as truth. If something in your love life, your friendships, or your creative partnerships has been running on fumes and social grace, this is the week the fumes run out. That is not a punishment. That is information.

Mars in Cancer is still finishing up a square with Neptune in Aries through Thursday, so energy levels may be strange, motivation may feel foggy, and the impulse to do something big may be running one step ahead of the clarity about what the big thing actually is. Give it a beat. Venus and Jupiter are also holding a soft sextile through Wednesday, which is a very forgiving line of support for beauty, money, and the small yes that leads to a bigger one. Mercury trines Saturn to open the week, so if you have a hard email to write on Monday or Tuesday, write it then. Your words will land clean.

On Saturday the Sun enters Virgo and the whole tone of the season shifts. Leo season was about being seen. Virgo season is about being useful to yourself. The desk gets tidied. The calendar gets honest. The body starts asking for water and earlier bedtimes and, in some cases, a doctor's appointment you have been avoiding. Chiron is still retrograde in Aries the whole time, which means the healing conversation is happening quietly in the background, mostly with yourself.

This is a truthful, tender, and quietly clarifying kind of week.

Your week ahead by sign

Aries (March 20 - April 19). The Sun's last few days in Leo light up your fifth house of joy, creativity, and the tender vulnerable art of being a little too much on purpose, and then on Saturday it slides into your sixth house of daily rhythm, work, and the body. Mercury in Leo has your inner artist writing loud, and Venus opposite Saturn from your seventh house is asking you to look honestly at a partnership, romantic or otherwise, and notice where you are holding a shape that no longer fits. The First Quarter Moon in Scorpio in your eighth wants you to be honest about money, shared resources, and the thing you have not been saying at the dinner table.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20). Sun and Mercury in Leo are still lit up in your fourth house of home, family, and the emotional foundation you are standing on, and this week you may find yourself rearranging furniture or having a real conversation with a parent or sibling or the version of yourself who lived in your childhood bedroom. Venus, your ruler, sits opposite Saturn from your sixth house, so a work relationship or a health habit is asking for a boundary that is not up for negotiation. When the Sun enters Virgo on Saturday your fifth house of pleasure and creativity opens up, and it will feel like breath.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20). Your third house of voice, ideas, and the group chat is still humming with Leo Sun and Mercury, and you are probably talking, writing, teaching, or texting more than usual. Mercury trine Saturn to open the week gives your words unusual weight, so use them well. Venus in your fifth opposite Saturn in your eleventh means a friendship or a creative collaboration is asking for a more honest shape, and the Scorpio First Quarter Moon in your sixth is asking your body what it actually needs. Sun into Virgo on Saturday brings the focus home, literally.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22). With Mars still in your sign wrapping its square to Neptune, the week may open a little foggy on the motivation front, so please do not use Monday as a report card. Sun and Mercury in Leo continue to light up your second house of money, values, and self-worth, and Venus opposite Saturn from your fourth house is pressing you to look at what "safety" actually means to you, and whether the thing you are calling stability is actually just familiar. When the Sun enters Virgo on Saturday, your third house of communication, siblings, and short trips opens, and it is a very good time to write the thing.

Leo (July 23 - August 22). This is your final week of Sun season, and the Moon is not asking you to hurry. Sun and Mercury in your first house are still handing you the mic, and Venus in your third opposite Saturn in your ninth is asking whether the story you have been telling about your life is the true one or just the polished one. The First Quarter Moon in Scorpio in your fourth wants a soft answer about home. When the Sun enters Virgo on Saturday, your second house of money and self-worth opens, and a real conversation with your bank account is on the calendar whether you booked it or not.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22). Your season begins on Saturday, and the week before your birthday season is traditionally the exhale, so please treat it that way. Sun and Mercury are still finishing up your twelfth house, which is dream time, rest time, closing-the-tabs time. Venus in your second opposite Saturn in your eighth is asking a real question about money, worth, and what you are trading your energy for. When the Sun crosses into your sign on Saturday, you get to start over. Not the whole life. Just the parts you actually chose.

Libra (September 23 - October 22). Venus, your ruler, is at home in your sign this week, which is beautiful, and she is also opposite Saturn in your seventh, which is a lot. A partnership is asking for honesty, and the good news is that Libra is very good at honest when Libra is not busy being nice. Sun and Mercury in your eleventh light up friendships, communities, and the group text, and the First Quarter Moon in Scorpio in your second is asking you to look at your money like it is a real relationship. Sun into Virgo on Saturday takes you into the quiet season before your birthday.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21). The First Quarter Moon on Wednesday is in your sign at 27 degrees, and that is your yearly reminder that you are allowed to feel things all the way through instead of managing them. Sun and Mercury in Leo are still on your tenth house of career, reputation, and public life, and Venus opposite Saturn from your twelfth to your sixth is asking whether the pace you are keeping is sustainable or just admirable. Mars in Cancer in your ninth is fogging up the long-view for a few more days. Sun into Virgo on Saturday opens your eleventh house of chosen family and shared vision.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21). Sun and Mercury in Leo have your ninth house of travel, teaching, publishing, and the big picture wide open, and if a bigger idea has been forming, this is the week to write the first sentence of it. Venus opposite Saturn from your eleventh to your fifth is asking a real question about the friend group and the creative life, and whether the version of fun you have been performing is actually fun for you. Sun into Virgo on Saturday takes the whole conversation to your tenth house of work, and the ambition sharpens.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19). The Sun and Mercury in Leo are still activating your eighth house of intimacy, shared resources, and the emotional undertow, and this is the week those conversations get a little quieter and a little more real. Venus opposite Saturn, your ruler, from your tenth to your fourth is one of the more classic aspects for a home-versus-work conversation, and you know which one has been winning. The First Quarter Moon in Scorpio in your eleventh asks about your people. Sun into Virgo on Saturday opens your ninth house, and something you needed to see from a new angle finally rotates.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18). Sun and Mercury in Leo have been lighting up your seventh house of partnership all season, and this last week of Leo brings the theme home. Venus opposite Saturn from your ninth to your third is asking whether a belief you have been carrying is actually yours or something you inherited and never questioned. Pluto is still in your first house doing its slow, non-negotiable renovation. When the Sun enters Virgo on Saturday, your eighth house opens, and a money or intimacy conversation you have been avoiding gets a soft green light.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20). With the Lunar Eclipse in your sign arriving next Friday, this week is the deep breath before. Sun and Mercury in Leo have your sixth house of daily life and body active, and Venus opposite Saturn from your eighth to your second is asking a very real question about money, worth, and what you are giving away for free that shouldn't be free anymore. Mars in Cancer in your fifth is asking you to make something with your hands. Sun into Virgo on Saturday activates your seventh house of partnership, and a relationship comes into focus just in time for the eclipse.

A practice for the week

Every morning this week, before your phone, ask yourself three questions in order.

The first is, what am I actually feeling. Not what you are supposed to be feeling. What is actually there.

The second is, what is the truest thing I could say today, and to whom.

The third is, what is one small kindness I can offer myself before noon.

On Saturday, when the Sun enters Virgo, take yourself somewhere that has a door and a chair. A porch. A coffee shop counter. The bench in your bedroom you use as a laundry pile. Sit for ten minutes. No phone. Notice the light. That is the whole practice.
